Diamond Wipes International (www.diamondwipes.com), the leading West Coast manufacturer of disposable wet wipes, announced today that it has earned the Forest Stewardship Council™ (FSC®) Chain-of-Custody (CoC) certification (FSC®-C109834) from the Rainforest Alliance. This certification reflects the growing trend in the paper and printing industry for companies to make more environmentally and socially responsible supply chain decisions.

“In advancing our continued commitment to better sustainability, I am extremely proud and honored to achieve this important milestone,” said Eve Yen, founder and CEO of Diamond Wipes.

FSC® is a nongovernmental, non-profit organization that promotes environmentally appropriate, socially beneficial, and economically viable management of the world’s forests. The newly awarded certification marks the meaningful and credible beginning of Diamond Wipes commitment to good forestry practices, carried from forest to consumer.

“As a FSC® certified manufacturer, we now have the ability to produce our wipes from responsible sources,” explains Yen. “This presents a great benefit and an opportunity for our clients who are looking for a wet wipe product that provides more than just its function. Our clients and their consumers can purchase our products with confidence that they are supporting the growth of responsible forest management worldwide.”

The Rainforest Alliance is an international nonprofit organization that works to conserve biodiversity and promote the rights and well-being of workers, their families and communities. The Rainforest Alliance Certified™ seal is recognized by 42 percent of Americans and it assures consumers that they are buying a product that has been grown and harvested sustainably.
